Aye, I've not been writing poems for quite some time, so I thought of writing one down. No clue on what to title it, but it might be one of the most beautiful poems I've ever written.. Here goes:
Hush, hush, the world falls in silence,
The dark night closes in,
Into a world filled with violence,
Tainted with man's first sin.
The piercing cries at dead night,
For hitherto, evil reigns,
And we the residents in helpless sight,
In our sins have all been slain.
But don't you fret little soul,
Keep the darkness at bay
Wait on Him and then you'll know,
That the night turns to day.
The cloudful sky might hinder light,
But for surely it clears to bring the bright,
And for the storm brings a dreadful gloom,
But after, a trimphful rainbow blooms.
Know this and be sure to keep,
For in inside us, hope exists,
A love was shown so, so deep,
On the cross, love persists.
